ISOLATION TRANSFORMERSWhy & When Isolation Transformer should be used with Servo Stabilizer?Generally the Received Utility Power is very Poor Qua---part from Black-outs, and Brown-outs, Problems of High Voltage Spikes, Surges and Earth Leakage are also presser --- mainly because of Under Rated Transmission System, Improper maintenance of associated Switch Gears, Loose---ections, Sparking and Dry Earthing.
There are Certain Applications which are Termed as Sen----, such as CNC Machines, Computer Controlled Printing Machines, Medical Instruments, High Capacity On Line U--- These Sensitive Loads contain Semiconductor Devices, Such as Thyristors, SCRs, Microprocessors/controllers, I----tc., which are Highly prone to get Damaged due to the presence of aforesaid Problems in the Utility Power. With the Use of Isolation Transformer, apart from providing --- tion, all the aforesaid Problems, riding over Utility Power are Eliminated. Three Phase Isolation Transformer with Delta Input and --- Output also Provides Artificial Neutral. By connecting Neutral of Star Winding with Perfect created Earth,it provi---erfect Artificial Neutral with Zero Potential, irrespective of Poor Quality Of Input Neutral. NEI has Technical collaboration with Textronic Digital Systems (TDS), under the guidance of Mr. S.K.Manglik (A, technocrat, widely respected & an acknowledged pioneer having experience of 25 years in research and Development in Electronic industry) has developed Microcontroller with Multi Mode Digital monitor with instant continuing on latest information and same will be announcing in due course of time. What is the Advantage of Isolation Transformer? An Isolation Transformer (IT), which has TWO Sides (primary and Secondary), white has TWO Sides (primary and Secondary), ISOLATES Both sides "ELECTRICALLY", while its MAGNETIC Coupling Transfers all the Electric Power to the Other Side. IT has two separate symmetrical winding, having equal number of turns in Primary and Secondary, which are used to decouple two circuits. IT allows an AC signal or power to be taken from one device and fed into another without transformers block transmission of DC signals from one circuit to the other, but allows an AC signals to pass. They also block interference caused by ground loops. Isolation transformers with electrostatic shields are used for power supplies for sensitive equipment such as computers or laboratory instruments. Isolation transformer is always connected between Utility Power and Load. One and of the primary winding is connected to Live point and other one to Neutral. At the same time one end of the Secondary winding is connected to Load and its other and is TIED to EARTH of the Premises. The other end (Neutral) of Load is connected to EARTH of Secondary. This is an Idea Condition, and even if in case Terminal Points of primary are interchanged, Isolation Transformer will provide perfect output power with perfect Isolation , and Earth, elimating any shock hazard. Isolation transformers are commonly designed with careful attention to coupling between the two windings. This is necessary because excessive capacitance could also couple AC current from the primary to the secondary . A grounded shield is commonly interposed between the primary and the secondary. Any remaining capacitive coupling between the secondary and ground simply causes the secondary to become balanced about the ground potential |
